Saturday, March 10th 9am-4pm
Tuition: $100; Studio fee: $5
This workshop is designed to critique photographers’ work in order to prepare them for important portfolio presentations. Students bring a selection of prints and a brief artist statement. The critique will help students become aware of the strengths and themes within a group of images, providing clarity on the next steps in creating a cohesive portfolio. Writing exercises will add depth, meaning and insight to improve the artist statement. Mock interviews during the class will allow students an opportunity to discuss their work and artistic visions intelligently. Through critique, discussion, and writing exercises students will receive guidance and encouragement, as well as tips on other promotional items to include in a professional photography portfolio.

POLAROIDTRANSFERS & LIFTS
Polaroid 669 Manipulations
Use emulsion transfer combined with collage and mixed media.
Polaroids and Poetry
Combine poetry and images using the Daylab copysystem. Bring a selection of 4x6 photos and copies of poems. Magnetic poetry, paper and equipment provided.
Cost: $50 per hour + materials. Hourly rate may be shared. Bring a friend or two and share the costs.
